Hi there! I am a Lecturer of Communication in the College of Communication here at Butler University. I teach Leadership Communication and Speech for Business courses.
My faith formation is rooted in my parents’ decision to have me Baptized as an infant and provide a Catholic schools education for my sister and me when available. My father was a Sergeant Major in the Army who had numerous duty stations throughout the United States and Europe. When Catholic schools were unavailable, my parents ensured we received faith formation offered by our Catholic Church at the time.
Today, I find spiritual strength in daily Rosary prayers, Wednesday and Sunday campus Masses, and serving the Indianapolis community in time, talent, and treasure according to God’s Will. I feel extremely blessed to be able to worship in my place of employment here at Butler University that provides work-life balance.
I am a parishioner of St. Monica Church moments down the road from Butler University where I worship when college is not in session. In the past I have served as Lector, Usher, First-Grade and Junior High Sunday School Teachers. I am also a past member of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Catholic Community Foundation that provided me an opportunity to gain an understanding of its administration and the broader 120+ parishes’ many services to God. I feel blessed to have gained diverse perspectives within an Archdiocese community.
My favorite scripture: Psalm 100:5
